Terms of use

This website is operated by SkilledDragon, LLC ("SkilledDragon", "we"). It describes our software engineering, cloud, and applied AI work, and it publishes notes and lab results. By using the site you accept these terms. Using the site does not make you a client, and nothing here is an offer of services.

If you write through the contact form or to hello@skilleddragon.com, we use what you send to understand the work and reply, as the privacy notice describes. The form sends a short acknowledgement to the address you give. No engagement, and no obligation on either side, begins until both sides sign a written agreement.

The Labs and Insights pages record experiments we ran and what we think about them. The numbers come from our own runs on our own fixtures, on the date each page states, and they can change when a tool, a version, or a fixture changes. They are published so you can re-run them, not as a benchmark, a guarantee, or a promise about how a tool will behave for you. Read them as a measurement with its date attached.

Nothing on this site is engineering, security, legal, or financial advice for your situation. If a fact matters to a decision, re-run the lab, read the source, or ask us.

The lab repositories linked from this site are published on GitHub under the license stated in each repository. That license, not these terms, governs the code. The projects we test belong to their own authors and are covered by their own licenses; we are not affiliated with them unless a page says so, and their names and marks belong to their owners.

The text, diagrams, videos, logos, and other materials on this site belong to SkilledDragon or to their respective owners. You may read, link to, and quote them with attribution. Do not republish them as your own, remove attribution, or use the SkilledDragon name or dragon mark in a way that suggests we endorse something we have not.

Do not use the site to send spam or abusive messages through the contact form, probe or attack the site or its providers, or scrape it at a rate that interferes with other visitors. We may limit or block access that does any of these.

The site links to GitHub, to the projects we test, and to vendor documentation, and the lab videos stream from a cloud storage service. Those sites and services have their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

We keep the site current, but it is a description of our work, not a specification. Services, ventures, availability, and lab results change. We may change or remove any part of the site at any time, and we do not promise the site will always be available.

The site and its contents are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. SkilledDragon is not liable for losses arising from use of this website, from reliance on a published lab result or post, or from a third-party site or service we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms; the date at the top identifies the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
