Privacy notice

SkilledDragon, LLC operates this website. The company is organized in Delaware, United States, and works remotely. For questions about this notice or the information we hold, write to hello@skilleddragon.com.

This notice covers skilleddragon.com: the public pages, the Labs and Insights posts, the contact form, and the optional analytics. It does not describe a product login, a payment flow, or the terms of a client engagement, which are agreed separately in writing.

Two things are stored on your device, and neither identifies you. Your cookie choice is kept so the banner does not return on every visit. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in local storage when you use the switch in the header. Both stay in your browser; neither is sent to us.

If you accept analytics, PostHog also stores an anonymous identifier in your browser so that visits can be counted. Rejecting or withdrawing analytics stops that storage from being used.

With your permission, we use PostHog to measure page visits and a small set of interactions such as navigation, opening a lab, and contact actions. PostHog is operated by PostHog, Inc. Events reach PostHog through this site's own address, and we strip query strings from page URLs before they are sent.

We do not send your name, email address, company, or message as analytics data. We do not record your session, use heatmaps, capture forms automatically, or capture errors automatically.

Analytics is opt-in. Until you accept, and after you reject or withdraw permission, we send no analytics events. The site honors the Do Not Track browser setting through PostHog. Hosting and security processing needed to deliver the pages still happens, as described under Hosting and server logs.

If you submit the contact form or write to hello@skilleddragon.com, we receive your name, company, work email, project type, and message, and we use them to evaluate the inquiry and reply. When email delivery is configured, the form also sends a short acknowledgement to the address you gave. We may keep the inquiry in our mailbox and in its backups.

To limit abuse of the form we use your IP address to cap the number of submissions in a short window, and we keep that count only for the length of that window. Please do not include passwords, payment details, health information, or confidential project materials in a message. We do not use inquiry details for unrelated marketing.

Each lab page carries a short video. The video file is streamed from Google Cloud Storage, so when you press play your browser requests it from Google and Google receives your IP address and browser details the way any file download does. Nothing loads from Google until you press play; the preview image comes from this site.

Lab and post pages link to GitHub and to the projects we tested. Those sites have their own notices, and this one stops applying once you leave. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font network.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived request logs that can include an IP address, the page requested, and browser details, used to deliver the pages, keep them up, and investigate abuse. Email delivery for the contact form uses Resend. Optional analytics is processed by PostHog. Each of these providers may process information in the United States or in other locations described in its own documentation and contracts.

We do not sell personal information, do not share it for targeted advertising, and run no advertising, remarketing, or lead-enrichment tools on this site. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, for security, for handling a dispute, and to meet legal obligations. Inquiry emails stay in our mailbox while a conversation may continue. Analytics retention follows the PostHog project settings. We do not state fixed periods here that the underlying systems do not enforce.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept, reject, or withdraw analytics at any time. Your browser can also block storage, and the theme switch works without any storage at all. Withdrawal stops future collection; it does not by itself erase what was collected before.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, or to receive a copy of it. Write to hello@skilleddragon.com with enough detail for us to find the records. We may need to confirm your identity, and we answer under the rules that apply to your request. If we decline a request, we say why.

We update this notice when the site or its data practices change, and the date at the top identifies the current version. A change that affects what we collect appears on this page before it applies to new collection.
