The system after it ships
Shipping is only the first test. What matters is whether the system still works after launch week.

Launch week tells you very little about a system. Anyone can keep a demo running for a week. The real question is what happens when a second team starts using it, a third region comes online, and a dependency fails on a Tuesday.
For us, delivery is where ownership starts. Pipelines, access, backups and a way to roll back are part of the design from day one.
If a good engineer can't run the system without a private briefing, it isn't finished. It has to ship, and then it has to stay up.
